Congratulations on a safe and sustainable landfall

20 May 2019

Dutch success in Israel. Not only did ‘we’ win the Eurovision Song Contest, A.Hak also completed the 1,100 meter long 56” Direct Pipe landfall drilling at the Israeli coast. Without safety issues, on schedule and with a satisfied client. Wilko Koop, A.Hak International’s director, praises our A.Hak drilling specialists, their subcontractors and equipment manufacturer Herrenknecht.

There were congratulations from Herrenknecht to the team with a Breakthrough Notice that says: ‘We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this great success and are looking forward to our collaboration on the whole project.’ Wilko Koop is also looking forward to that.

This was our second successful drilling on the Israeli coast in a short time. By using Direct-Pipe technology for landfalls, the often sensitive coastal region can be spared as much as possible. Further innovations ensure even safer working conditions. The special work attracted the attention of World Pipelines Magazine, which devoted an article to these A.Hak projects in its May issue.
